LAP36300MB - 300 Amp Circuit Breaker

The LAP36300MB is a 300A, 3-pole LA molded-case circuit breaker for unit-mount applications. It is rated 22kA at 600VAC and 10kA at 250VDC, and it comes with load-side lugs and a line-side terminal connection. One easy-to-overlook detail is the MB suffix. On this model, it identifies a shorter handle designed to provide the clearance needed for the panel door to close. That's worth checking closely when you're replacing a breaker in existing equipment.

Where It Works Best

The LAP36300MB makes the most sense in existing and legacy equipment that requires its particular LA breaker configuration. The 300A rating and three-pole arrangement are obvious checkpoints, but several other details can determine whether the breaker is a suitable replacement.

Pay particular attention to the MB short handle. If the existing installation depends on that shorter operator for panel-door clearance, a breaker with a different handle configuration may not fit the same way.
